• beloved husband of Rita Hebert Autin; survived by sons, Whitney J. Autin Jr., and daughter, Cynthia Autin Eliser; brother of Loveless Autin, Lawrence Autin and Luby Robichaux; also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; son of the late Levis and Melvina Daigle Autin

• preceded in death by his brothers, Loney, Clifton, Hubert, and Ernest Autin, and his sisters, Eula Sapia and Mildred Autin

• World War II Navy Veteran, a member of VFW Post 370 of Luling, and a member Teamster local 270 of New Orleans

Syl F. Caillet Sr.

• age 94, native and resident of Hahnville, died on March 20

• mass of burial was held on Friday, March 22 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville; burial was in Holy Rosary (sic) Cemetery in Lockport

• survived by his wife, Maybelle Baudoin Caillet; sons, Gerald A. Caillet and Syl Caillet Jr.; brother, Marcelin (Jack) Caillet; sisters, Elise Young, Virginia Caillet, Pearl Baudoin, and Velma Matis; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren

• 52 years old, native and resident of Luling, passed away on Nov. 3

• religious services were held on Nov. 5 at Falgout Funeral Homes in Raceland followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux

• survived by his former wife Joan Breaux Gaudet, stepmother Della Somme Gaudet, son Jesse Gaudet, daughters Becky Gaudet Vedros, nieces Laura LeSage Guidry and Jamie LeSage, grandson Colin Vedros, sister Carol LeSage and stepsisters Michele Osburn, Henriette Somme and Ava Somme

• preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Gaudet Jr. and Loretta Sevin Gaudet

Anthony “Tony” Albert Hickman

• 53 years old, resident of Luling and native of Hattiesburg, Miss., passed away on Oct. 1

• services were held at Golden Meadow Methodist Church on Oct. 7

• survived by his wife, the Rev. Regina Brooks Hickman, father Doug Hickman and stepmother Willa Hickman, son Brooks Hickman, daughters Amanda Portera and Sarah Simoneaux, brother Ted Hickman, sister Rita Dykes, grandchildren Misty, Brandon, Salvadore and Emma Mae Portera and great-granddaughter Lexye Marie Whittington

Marie Aupied Portier Kenser

• age 89 years, native of Lafourche Crossing and had been a resident of Norco for 69 years passed away at Kenner Regional Hospital on Aug. 16 at 5:19 p.m.

• mass of burial was celebrated on Aug. 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 401 Spruce St., Norco, with interment following at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Thibodaux

• survived by her husband, Mel Kenser. Daughter of the late Thomas and Marle Baye Aupied. Mother of Larry Richard and his wife, Janet, of Norco. Sister of the late Emily Aupied Richard, Rita Aupied Ruth, Ferdnand, Clayton, Thomas Jr., Francis and Ernest Aupied; . grandmother of Larry Jr., Galen, Amanda, Lacy Richard, all of Norco, and Richelle R. Cazenave of Luling.

Floyd Joseph Landeche

• 67 years old, native of Killona and a resident of Raceland passed away on Aug. 17 at 8:50 p.m.

• survived by his wife, Regina Rodrigue, sons Eddie Landeche and Patrick Waguespack and daughters Cynthia Landeche, Dawn W. Daigle and Syd Waguespack; brothers Roy, Claude, Harold, Alvin, George, Joseph, Roger, Wesley and Henry Landeche III; and sisters Rita Hymel, Marie Louise Bourgeois, Anna Mae Melancon and Lorraine Rodrigue; and four grandchildren

• preceded in death by his parents, Henry Jr. and Pauline Lousteau Landeche, and his daughter, Pamela Waguespack

• retired from Dresser Industries after 31 years, a U. S. Army veteran and lifetime member of VFW Post 3665 in Raceland, as well as American Legion Unit 349; member of the United Veterans League and an associate broker with Century 21 Action Real Estate

David P. Matherne

• 56 years old, native of Westwego and resident of St. Charles Parish, passed away on Sept. 23 at 10:55 p.m.

• mass of burial held on Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands, followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland

• survived by his wife, Barbara Tasted Matherne, father Hilman “Buster” Matherne, son Randy David Matherne, brothers Robert, Paul, Stephen and Kevin Matherne, sister Janet Lorio and two grandchildren

• preceded in death by his mother, Annette Babin Matherne

• Vietnam war veteran and member of VFW Post 3750, Luling

Kenneth Peter Matherne

• 57 years old, native of Bayou Gauche and resident of Raceland, passed away on Sept. 11

• mass of burial was held on Sept. 14 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport

• survived by his wife, Mary Hodge Matherne, son Kenneth Charles Matherne, brothers Claude, Raymond and Keith Matherne and three grandchildren

• preceded in death by his parents. Barrios and Anna Breaux Matherne, brother Glenn Matherne and sister Evelyn Minchew

Ivy Joseph Melancon

• 87 years old, native of Raceland and resident of Marrero for 52 years, passed away on Nov. 9 at 4 p.m.

• mass of burial was held on Nov. 12 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland

• survived by his wife, Velma Hebert Melancon, brother Loveless “L. J.” Melancon, and sisters Corrine Sapia and Lena Pierce

• preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Hedwige Theriot Melancon, brothers Willie, Ronald and Wilmer Melancon and sisters Irene Martin and Elma Bonvillain

• retired from Avondale Shipyards on April 1, 1977

Ricky Paul Perrillioux

• age 42, a native of Hahnville and a resident of St. Rose, died on Friday

• mass of burial was held Monday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland; entombment followed at St, Hilary Mausoleum

• survived by his parents Oliver and Lynn Perrillioux; his sons, Dustin, Scott, and Ricky Perrillioux Jr.; his daughters, Brandi and Katie Perrillioux; also survived by his brothers Oliver, Allen, Neal, Bryan, Gary and Corey Perrillioux and Benny Williams; and his sisters Rita Horn, Regina Rodriguez, Jessica St. Pierre, Mary Williams, and Stephanie Williams

• preceded in death by his mother, Clara Neal Williams; his brother, Donnie Glynn; and his grandparents Felicia and Oliver Perrillioux

Robert Pyle

• 77 years old, native of El Dorado, Ark. and a resident of Raceland, passed away on Aug. 21

• mass of burial was held on Aug. 26 at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland

• survived by his wife, Dorothy Guedry Pyle, son Robert Noah Pyle, daughters Alice Martin, Bess Pyle and Judith Tusler, sisters Wanda Smith and Shirley Dolden, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild

• preceded in death by parents Robert and Bertie Lawrence Pyle and sister Carrie Pyle. Robert Pyle was retired from Monsanto after 35 years of service

Leroy Luke Robichaux

• 79 years old, native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Dec. 8

• mass of burial was held on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland

• survived by his daughters, Caroliyn Bonnette and Rouanne LeBlanc, sister Corine Elfert, seven children and two great-grandchildren

• preceded in death by his wife, Mae Callahan Robichaux, parents Odrise and Azema Foret Robichaux, brothers Ivy, Hubert, Willy, Junis and Johnny Robichaux and sisters Eloise Borne, Irene Bourgeois, Esma Arcenaux, Annie Archenaux and Edna Cortez

• beloved husband of Mae Degruise Waguespack. Father of Mary W. Weimer, Evelyn W. Dupuy, and Janet W. Owens. Brother of Annie Waguespack and Marion Waguespack; also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

• preceded in death by his parents, Harris Waguespack Sr. and Josephine Melancon Waguespack. Sisters Gleo W. LeCompte and Anna Mae W. McClain

Nelson Paul Zeller

• 86 years old, native of Des Allemands and resident of Raceland, passed away on Sept. 8

• mass of burial was held for him yesterday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland

• survived by his daughters, Virgie Broussard, Verlie Whitman and Joyce Champagne, eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
