S. Navy and 24 years in the Louisiana Army National Guard until his retirement; Vietnam Era veteran as well as a Persian Gulf War veteran who served in Operation Desert Storm with the former 159th MASH National Guard Unit from Jackson Barracks; member of the V. F. W. Post No. 05097, the American Legion Post No. 0011, Protector Fire Company No. 2, Louisiana State Fireman’s Association, Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity and the Single Action Shooting Society; enjoyed Civil War re-enacting and cowboy action shooting
