Tomb of Eugene Jean Pitre
The tomb of Eugene Jean Pitre is located across from 115 East 97th Street in Cut Off. The tomb is enclosed with an iron fence. He was born May 22, 1863, death date unknown. His wife was Ernestine Marie Gisclair.
Tomb of Livodais Pitre
The tomb of Livodais Pitre was located in a pasture on Highway 308 between 145th and 146th streets. It was moved during the early 1940’s to the Cheramie Cemetery when an oil company began to drill a well on his burial site. The well proved to be a dry hole and was capped, He was born January 26, 1829 and died January 26, 1873. His wife was Julienne Marie Lefort.
