PARISH OF LAFOURCHE
Know all Men, by these Presents:
That on this Twenty-first day of the month of August in the year of our Lord on (sic) thousand eight hundred Seventy-Three
Before me, Auguste Cretini, Notary Public, duly appointed and qualified, and for the Parish and State aforesaid, therein residing, and in the presence of Messrs. Ernest Cantrell and Paul Cretini good and competent Witnesses, also domiciliated in said Parish.
PERSONALLY CAME AND APPEARED, Mr. Salvador Galiano Sr. a resident in the Parish of Lafourche Who declared that he had sold, ceded, transferred, conveyed and delivered and by these presents he does sell, cede transfer, convey and deliver with all legal warranties of the law and with full substitution and subrogation to all his rights and actions in warranty against all preceding vendors or owners, to and unto Mr. Salvador Galiano Jr. also of the Parish of Lafourche here present, accepting and purchasing for himself his heirs and assigns and acknowledging possession and delivery hereof.
A certain Tract of Land situated on the Bank of Bayou Lafourche in the Parish of Lafouche, at about 50 miles from the town of Thibodaux, Measuring Ten Arpents more or less front on said Bayou by the ordinairy depth of Forty Arpents, bounded above by the Lands of the Estate of Louis Duč Sr.and below by those of Louis Duč Jr. together with all the buildings and Improvements thereon and thereto belonging being the same tract of Land acquired by the Present vendor from portions brought 1st from late Louis Dučt security from a Patent of land off__ Thereby from Eugene Hebert by act passed before Frederic Collin Then Notary and registered in this Recorders Office in This Parish.
The present sale is made in consideration of the Price and Sum of Four Thousand ($4000) Dollars in Cash which sum the present vendor Acknowledge to have received and for which he by these presents gives his Receipt and Acquittance.
There appears to be no Mortgages bearing on the Property herein sold, late Taxes having being Paid and the Parties declaring themselves satisfied dispense with certificate required by Law and Exonerate me Notary of any responsibility for the non production hereof.
In case there should be any taxes unpaid and due on the property herein sold, the present purchaser obligate himself to have said taxes paid before having the Present act Recorded
