Application for Citizenship of SALVADOR GALIANO

State of Louisiana 5th District Court

This day personally came and appeared in open Court Salvador Gallian an alien, who in order to become a citizen of the United States, made the following declaration, to wit: That he is a native of Spain and owes allegiance to Isabella Queen of Spain that he is twenty nine years of age; that he arrived in the United States in the year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred forty two that he was a minor under eighteen years of age when he arrived In the United States that he has resided in the United States for the last fifteen years and in the state of Louisiana for the last fifteen years - that during all the time of his residence in the United States it has been bona fide his intention to become a citizen thereof and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state and sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Isabella queen of Spain of whom he was heretofore a subject, at the time of his emigration, to which he does solemnly swear under oath to him administered in open Court.

And in consequence of the said alien having arrived in the United States when he was a minor, under the age of eighteen years and having resided in the United States five entire years previous to this his application to be admitted as a citizen of the United States and said facts being proven to the satisfaction of the Court here on oaths of Louis Due, Charles (Corrone) citizens of the United States and also that said alien Salvador Gallian has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the constitution of the United States of America and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Therefore the said Salvador Gallian was permitted to take the following oath so as to be admitted a citizen of the United States of America

I Salvador Gallian do solemnly swear that I (will) support the constitution of ....... the United States of America and I do further renounce all allegiance and fidelity to my foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Isabella queen of Spain and I do further abd(icate) and disclaim all title of nobility So help me God.
