Subject: Oster Family Tree
I happened on to your site. I was born Beverly Oster. My dad was born in Rumania.
I am curious as to whether there is a connection as my father's family originally settled
in the US. I'm wondering if we are somehow related. What else do I need to tell you?

About the Boyer
I was looking at your FANTASTIC work on the Boyers genealogy, I want to congratulate
you for the work you have done. I am a descendant of Etienne Boyer from Larochelle,
France. Ten years ago I went to France with my son and we bicycled from Paris to
Larochelle to discover the country of our ancestors. Etienne was married to Perrine
Payneau not Peinlay. Nicolas came to Canada and married a widow whose husband
had been killed by the Indians in Montreal her name was Marguerite Maclin. They married
in July 1667. I have the wedding contract. They had many children as you mentioned, my
ancestor is Nicolas Antoine who married Louise Payet St Amour in 1704 .His son
Joseph was born in 1706 and married Francoise Senecal in 1736. They had a son Pierre
who married Marguerite Riel in 1762. Their son Jean Baptiste married Marie Sedilot in
1790. Their son Antoine married Marie Longtin in 1815. Their son Narcisse married
Rose Belle in 1851. Their son Henri married Geogina Marsan in in 1882. Their son
Eugene married Imelda Cantin in1925 they had 7 children and I am the last one. My name
is Andre Boyer and I married Celine Murphy in 1967. All those weddings were in the
Montreal area. I was able to get all the wedding contracts and the wills. If you are intersted
you can add this to your work, Dr. J. Andre Boyer MD CONGRATULATION

Subject: correction
I just signed your guest book, but I was unaware that I could make a comment. This afternoon
(Feb. 15th 2003) is my first visit to your site. Of course I thought it was wonderful and I began
checking those names (Petit/Defelice) which are my most immediate surnames. My maiden
name was Petit and my mother’s maiden name was Defelice. I found at least one error that
is recorded for her death. My mother’s name was Lillian Defelice Petit. Her father was
Henry Joseph Defelice. He married Justelia Lee. On your site, on my mother’s death
citing, her father is listed as Henry Jackson Defelice. That is incorrect. His name was
Henry Joseph Defelice and he was known as Joe (Joseph) Defelice. He had a younger
brother whose name was Henry Lazarus Defelice. That brother was known as
Henry Defelice. My uncle, the son of Henry Joseph Defelice was named
Joseph Lazarus Defelice (At some point and time, the ‘jr’ started to appear behind my
uncle’s name, but he was not a ‘jr’. I think because in the community he was know as
‘tee joe’ , it was just assumed that he was a ‘jr.

Subject: Great Website
I really appreciated the user-friendly searching techniques used on this site. Thanks for
making this information available to so many. I was only disappointed that I didn't find
out "who" Emily Odle married in 1869 in Washington Co., MO, but I know Rome wasn't
built in a day and ALL records can't be posted with the snap of someone's fingers. Your
site has taken a lot of work and it shows!

Beautiful site
Your site is beautiful and well organized. I also grew up in New Orleans, and was born
in 1960 -- my eldest brother is the same age as you. I am a descendant of one of the
outer branches of your tree. My great-great grandmother was Louisa Phrosine Verret
[of Raceland], the mother of Josephine Guichet, who married Forest Bollinger. I did
not know her middle name until tonight. I still do not know any of her dates. Hope you're
having a good life in Tampa. I have returned to New Orleans after a lifetime away -- and
am researching only what is known about my family. By the way, I am not of the Bollinger
line at all, but Josephine Guichet's brother, Eugene, married Edna Bourgeois in
Raceland, and that is where my line comes from. I spent yesterday in the Raceland
cemetery, to copy down some names and dates -- have you been there?
