Brian, I really enjoyed visiting your website.  Obviously you have put a lot of thought and
effort into making this a useful web site. I'm still looking for information on my Jefferson
County family, Sib and Ella (Hendrickson) Medley, buried in the Desoto City Cemetery.
Since I live in California, doing research on my ancestors would be very difficult without
web sites like yours.  I hope other researchers of the Medley family will contact me after
visiting your site. Keep up the good work and thanks again. Donna Rodoni, Santa Cruz, CA

Subject: Autin Family
This is a great site Brian.  I did most of my family research over 15 years ago before we could
take advantage of PC databases and the Internet.  I've noticed in your guestbook that you get
asked many research questions.  I guess that comes with the territory when you can put forth
this much information.  I will go ahead and ask this one: Do you have any information on
Francois Autin dit Dumont who married Marie Boucher on June 21 1688 in Quebec.  As far
as I can tell, he is the common ancestor for all Autins in America.  No one seems to know when
he came to Canada or where or when he was born.  I've just recently stumbled upon your site.
If I can find any extra time, I will use this information to fill in the many gaps that I have in my own
family tree research from many years ago.  Keep up the good work.  Clark Autin   Larose, LA

I am curious as to where you found the listing for a William William T. Petty md May Ann
Dickson
16 July 1857 in Crawford Co. Mo.... the only William Taylor Petty I am aware of,
aside from Wilson R. Petty and Mary Goad's son, born 1866, is Wilson R. Petty's Father
William Taylor Petty
, who is said to have died prior to the Civil War. This may open a new
can of worms for my family....if he did marry again, however won't be much of a shock as he
was supposedly married to a Margret Blackwell and was also married to a Peggy Sennet.

I do not know how important it is to you.  One of your entries in Jefferson County Marriages
1849-1871 VOL. C page 401, is in error.  I first took notice about two months ago.  The middle
name of Philip Perryman is "T" for Thompson.  I viewed and photographed his headstone in
Gamel Cemetery Festus, MO., and then went to the courthouse and the middle name (letter)
was transferred in error to Philip P. Perryman and Miss Emme C. Beron 18 Feb. 1867.
After looking at it in the book I can see where the error was made.  If you have the opportunity
to be in those books again you will see  it is a "T".   The T is for ThompsonMr. Philip
Thompson
Perryman.  I am attempting to use him to get my wife Joyce membership in the
United Daughters of the Confederacy. I just thought you might like to know.  Thanks a lot for all
the work you have put into the project.  I have taken advantage of your operation.  It has made
searching my wife's family much easier.  Best of luck.  T. V. Vessell Jefferson County, MO.

Subject: Valeran de Milly
Hi,  My name is Andrew Millie and I am currently researching the de Milly families throughout
Europe. The information that you have for Valeran de Milly is incorrect. Here is the correct
information:
Valeran (Waleran/Galeran) de Meulan became Seigneur de Milly only after marrying
Jeanne de Bouville in abt 1330.  She was titled Dame de Milly as her father Jean de Bouville
was Seigneur de Milly. The Estates of Milly entered this family with Hugues de Bouville,
Jean's father, in 1287. 3 of Valeran & Jeanne's children also held the Titles of Milly (Milly-la-Foret).
Valeran is a direct descendant of the house of de Beaumont. If you would like a more complete
genealogy of these families please let me know and I will send it to you.

Brian, I really appreciate the time and trouble you have gone to to help others with their
research.  I am a native of Jefferson Co., MO, and have found a lot of info on family members
from your site.  All of my paternal ancestors were in the area from the late 1700's or early
1800s.  I am having trouble locating any info on my Chely grandmother who was in
St. Genevieve Co., in 1800.  Do  you have any Chelys in your gedcom?
Ellen McMullin MacKenzie
Additional: Chely was the spelling on the baptismal certificate of Ann Chely and
Elias Bates daughter.  I think it can be spelled several ways, from what I have seen on the
internet. It's just that I can't find others of that name in the area, except one sometime later.

First let me readily admit that I am a beginner in researching my family.  My name is de Treville

- - b. 1742 N. Scotia, d. 1791 Beaufort, SC.  I believe that way back our families are connected
but I need some assistance.  I would also like to find some information on the de Norvelle family.
The de Treville family is one of the founding families of South Carolina but I have been unable to
find anything about the de Norvelle line.  My great-grandmother who was a de Treville died at
the age of 27 -- hence, I believe that the family history is sketchy as a result.  I look forward to
hearing from you in the near future.  Thank you.

My name is Richard M. Barrios. I now live in Pacific Grove, California near Monterey, CA.
I have been curious for so many years as to where my Great Grandfathers have come from?
Most people here in California just assume that my heritage is Mexican because of my

was Pierre Barrios of Lafourche Parish in Louisiana.  He was married I believe in LaRose or
Raceland, Louisiana?  He married Zelda Pierce from that area of central Lafourche Parish.
The thing that has me so puzzled is did the original Barrios' come from Spain, Portugal,
or Nova Scotia?  Any help would definitely be well appreciated.  My father's name is

info.  It has helped me. I am grateful. I have two rolls of Franklin Co, MO marriage records
from the Missouri State Archives, C-2386 Vol A-B-C, 1819-1901 and C-2387 Vol L Index
Book L-M-N-O (it has some court records on it also) You seem to have a good understanding
on how to get this info on a web site. I offer these records to you. Thank you, Harry Austin Isom

Hi Brian, nice to meet you guess we might be long lost cousins ? I come from Bland Staples.
He was raised in Potosi, Mo.  His mom and dad are James & Mary McMillen Staples that is
about all I know about my Staples family I still have a lot of family in Cuba, Mo.  We have our
Staples reunion there every year.  I have a few family notes that I will email you soon, my notes
are a mess. There is a family bible available soon as spring gets here. I will get all notes from
the bible. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.  Do I belong to these people?
P. S.  My grandmother tells me that great Grandmother Mary McMillin use to tease her kids that
there is Indian blood in the family. So she is why I have been searching so hard to find my family.
I have a degree already so I need her information do you know anything on this grandmother?
Sincerely, Tina Brennan Buckmaster Staples

I have just spoken to my father. I told him about your site, and wanted to see it. Well, he
asked if you were Joe Oster's son, so we pulled up a picture of your family. Well, it turns
out that our fathers, and my grandfather and your father were friends. My father's name is
Minor Cheramie, Jr.   They knew each other when your father worked for, Chevron, is it?
Also we are related more than once, through Clotine Gisclair, and through Davis Cheramie

There's a short write up about dad which mentions his time at Chevron USA or Standard Oil
of California in the old days. I remember your dad's name coming up in conversation, we may
have even met at some point. Dad always introduced us to his work associates but I was not
very good at remembering the names. Good thing I'm into genealogy, huh?

My name is Lacey Cheramie France.  I stumbled onto your site while researching info
on the Cheramie family.  I am amazed at the wealth of information you have stored here.
I am the great-granddaughter of Clotine (Claudine) Gisclair (105).  Your site is truly gold
to some!  I thank you, Lacey Cheramie France

Just had to drop you a note and tell you what a wonderful website you have here.  I have
been searching it for hours, have come up with a few things but disappointed there were not
more pertaining to my own research.  But what a pleasure to use this site.  Wish more
counties would do this.  I am interested in the Hansel/Hansells in Crawford county, but
saw none listed.  There were quite a few in Washington, and some may be relatives but
none documented as yet.  Keep up the good work.  Linda

Hi,  Because Phelps County was carved from Crawford in 1857, I am mentioning your site
