Brian, I really
enjoyed visiting your website. Obviously you have put a lot of thought
and
effort into making this a useful web site. I'm still looking for information
on my Jefferson
County family, Sib and Ella (Hendrickson) Medley, buried in the Desoto
City Cemetery.
Since I live in California, doing research on my ancestors would be very
difficult without
web sites like yours. I hope other researchers of the Medley
family will contact me after
visiting your site. Keep up the good work and thanks again. Donna Rodoni,

This is a great site
Brian. I did most of my family research over 15 years ago before we
could
take advantage of PC databases and the Internet. I've noticed in your
guestbook that you get
asked many research questions. I guess that comes with the territory
when you can put forth
this much information. I will go ahead and ask this one: Do you have any
information on
Francois Autin dit Dumont who married Marie Boucher on June 21
1688 in Quebec. As far
as I can tell, he is the common ancestor for all Autins in
America. No one seems to know when
he came to Canada or where or when he was born. I've just recently
stumbled upon your site.
If I can find any extra time, I will use this information to fill in the many
gaps that I have in my own
family tree research from many years ago. Keep up the good work. Clark Autin

I am curious as to
where you found the listing for a William William T. Petty md May
Ann
Dickson 16 July 1857 in Crawford Co. Mo.... the only William Taylor Petty
I am aware of,
aside from Wilson R. Petty and Mary Goad's son, born 1866, is Wilson R. Petty's Father
William Taylor Petty, who is said to have died prior to the Civil War.
This may open a new
can of worms for my family....if he did marry again, however won't be much of
a shock as he
was supposedly married to a Margret Blackwell and was also married to a Peggy Sennet.

I do not know how
important it is to you. One of your entries in Jefferson County
Marriages
1849-1871 VOL. C page 401, is in error. I first took notice about two
months ago. The middle
name of Philip Perryman is "T" for Thompson.
I viewed and photographed his headstone in
Gamel Cemetery Festus, MO., and then went to the courthouse and the middle
name (letter)
was transferred in error to Philip P. Perryman and Miss Emme C. Beron
18 Feb. 1867.
After looking at it in the book I can see where the error was made. If
you have the opportunity
to be in those books again you will see it is a "T".
The T is for Thompson. Mr. Philip
Thompson Perryman. I am attempting to use him to get my wife Joyce
membership in the
United Daughters of the Confederacy. I just thought you might like to
know. Thanks a lot for all
the work you have put into the project. I have taken advantage of your

Hi, My name is Andrew Millie
and I am currently researching the de Milly families throughout
Europe. The information that you have for Valeran de Milly is
incorrect. Here is the correct
information:
Valeran (Waleran/Galeran) de Meulan
became Seigneur de Milly only after marrying
Jeanne de Bouville in abt 1330. She was titled Dame de Milly
as her father Jean de Bouville
was Seigneur de Milly. The Estates of Milly entered this
family with Hugues de Bouville,
Jean's father, in 1287. 3 of Valeran & Jeanne's
children also held the Titles of Milly (Milly-la-Foret).
Valeran

Dear Brian, I have watched
you transcribe Misouri county marriages and have used this

understanding
on how to get this info on a web site. I offer these records to you. Thank

I have just spoken to my
father. I told him about your site, and wanted to see it. Well, he
asked if you were Joe Oster's son, so we pulled up a picture of your
family. Well, it turns
out that our fathers, and my grandfather and your father were friends. My
father's name is
Minor Cheramie, Jr. They knew each other when your father worked
for, Chevron, is it?
Also we are related more than once, through Clotine Gisclair, and
through Davis Cheramie.
There's a short write up about dad which mentions his time at Chevron USA or Standard Oil
of California in the old days. I remember your dad's name coming up in conversation, we may
have even met at some point. Dad always introduced us to his work associates but I was not
very good at remembering the names. Good thing I'm into genealogy, huh?

Just had to drop you a note
and tell you what a wonderful website you have here. I have
been searching it for hours, have come up with a few things but disappointed
there were not
more pertaining to my own research. But what a pleasure to use this
site. Wish more
counties would do this. I am interested in the Hansel/Hansells in
Crawford county, but
saw none listed. There were quite a few in Washington, and some may be
relatives but
none documented as yet. Keep up the good work. Linda
